  2. 04a2c71 Turn off extern templates for most uses. It is causing more problems than it is worth. The extern templates will still be built into the dylib, mainly for ABI stability purposes. And the client can still turn these back on with a #define if desire. This fixes http://llvm.org/bugs/show_bug.cgi?id=17027.   70. 65f059b Despite my pathological distrust of spin locks, the number just don't lie. I've put a small spin in __sp_mut::lock() on std::mutex::try_lock(), which is testing quite well. In my experience, putting in a yield for every failed iteration is also a major performance booster.
