Get rid of the ugly macros inside the bitmap sweep routine. Thanks to recent simplifications the implementation macrology can be expanded out. While we are here, fix the comments about the treatment of max. This edit should have happened in the previous change to the sweeper. Change-Id: Ia18ee580f5955dca8c27b96f7badbfb067a0a1cb
