1)  Do "make depend" if necessary

2)  "make check"!!!

3)  Use ./.head-Changelog to assemble release notes.

4)  Update files which contain version information
	version.h
	README
	RELEASE-NOTES
	e2fsprogs.lsm
	doc/libext2fs.texinfo (three places)

5)  Update ChangeLog files using ./.fix-ChangeLogs

6)  Make source distribution

7)  Adjust sizes in e2fsprogs-VER.lsm; rebuild source files; rebuild RPM files
