	  functions in any referring code need to be altered to
	  use this scheme. It should be quite self-evident for
	  most code and easy to perform.

	  Also fix an issue with ptp_mtp_getobjectproplist()
	  sometimes returning a NULL pointer while still
	  claiming there are props in the list.
